Personal: My little ladies

Hello! So i’m having the most AMAZING time on holiday with my sister, her husband and their two lovely babies Isabella and Imogen :)

They live out in Florida where the sun is always shining and the light is perfect. So my trusty 50mm and I have been busy taking lots of shots of them all. We’ve enjoyed painting together, cooking, dancing, dressing up – all the things little girls should do! And here are a few images from my trip so far… (there will definitely be more to come).

Look how long little Imogen’s eyelashes are… she loved helping paint too:)

This is the girls opening presents on my sister’s anniversary, we like to make a big deal of anniversaries in our family… anything to remember your wonderful wedding day and receive gifts, eh?!:)

This is a family favourite too!

And relax… it’s funny how quiet a house can be when it’s nap time.

And this is a little card Izzy made for her Mummy and Daddy… it’s so cute:)don’t you love the way she cut out the flowers so carefully?!

So this is my trip so far… as you can tell I’m having the best of times here and even managed to shoot a few portrait sessions while I’m here in the U.S. so look out for them in future blogs.

Jon & Michelle Wedding

Well hello! True to our promise to lasts weeks taster photos, here is the blog for the beautiful Jon and Michelle! We travelled to London for this wedding, we love to travel so please get in touch for a free quote if you would like to know more!

Personal: Ashlee and Selena

Hello, this is us (Selena Barnes and Ashlee Taylor).

We met up with a very talented and good friend of our Joseph Yarrow for some much needed new profile photographs.

Despite knowing Joe since we were around 14 it was still quite nerve wracking having our photographs done!

We went to the beautiful Goldbrick House in Bristol who were kind enough to let us use their upstairs area to take a few photographs. Thank you Goldbrick!

So here they are…

I got so nervous when the camera was on me :S now I know how you poor brides feel!


Then off round the corner to the lovely park behind Park street. You wouldn’t know it’s there, behind the hustle and bustle of funky Park Street in Bristol, a quiet and beautiful park on Brandon Hill with great views across the city especially if you go up Cabot Tower.

O and something even more exciting than new profile pics… We have taken on two new associate photographers that will be working along side us this year for weddings and some other projects. They are AMAZING people and very good photograpers so we are happy to have them on board so look out for their work on the blog. I can see 2012 being an awesome year full of brilliant couples, mums to be and little kiddos… exciting!

Portrait: Jessie Thomson and Bump

Hello:)Hope everyone is having a good few days off.

This is the beautiful Jessie Thomson and her lovely little bump:)she is a lovely wedding planner based in Cheltenham and works on weddings in and around the stunning Cotwolds which, if your planning a wedding or know someone that is, you must check out her inspiration site and blog.

I loved meeting up with this talented wedding planner in her Cotswolds home and talking about some of my favourite subjects… weddings and babies of course!

Her home was decorated just as imagined, white washed, just the right back drop for our little bump shoot. I was so happy about how much natural light we had, it provided the perfect conditions to produce a light, fresh and dreamy collection of photographs.

Having baby bump photographs is becoming increasingly popular in Britain and I’m so pleased as its such a special time in a mother’s life so well worth documenting. My parents have a few Polaroid shots from when I was a bump and I love looking through them, my mum had the perfect pregnancy ‘glow’ that was really captured in every shot. They provide much loved memories for us all… that’s why I am so keen to capture these memories for other families.

So here they are Jessie, Bump and Winnie too..

I kept getting a little distracted by the gorgeousness of Jess’s engagement ring… Well done Mr. Thomson!

I loved incorporating Jessie’s wedding head piece in the shoot, bringing together two happy events from the Thomson household!

 

Now I think everyone deserves a well earned rest:)

As always I enjoyed myself so much on this shoot and can’t wait to go back in February for a newborn shoot with the new edition!
